Not belief in the algorithm.
Not belief in strategy.
Not belief in luck.
Belief in yourself.

And if we’re being honest, most people don’t struggle with ideas.
They don’t struggle with talent. They don’t struggle with opportunity.

They struggle with belief.

I noticed this recently - in others, and in myself.

Just last week, I hesitated before setting up one of sponsors in my own newsletter.
Not because I couldn’t do it, but because that little voice of doubt whispered:

“What if you mess it up?”
“Why don’t you ask someone who knows?”

But I decided to try it anyway.
And it worked.

That moment of doubt showed me something important:

We trust our fears more than our confidence.

And today’s newsletter is for every creator who’s been doing the same.

Let’s talk about what’s really stopping you from believing in your superpowers and how to break that cycle.

Fear Feels Familiar - Confidence Feels Risky

Fear is comfortable.
Fear is predictable.
Fear is efficient - it protects you from embarrassment, failure, discomfort, visibility.

Confidence, on the other hand, requires vulnerability.
It requires stepping into the unknown.
It requires trying, showing up, being seen, risking mistakes.

Most people choose fear not because they’re weak,
but because fear feels safer than growth.

But safety and purpose rarely live in the same room.

You’ve Been Conditioned to Minimize Yourself

Most of us were taught to:

  • stay humble

  • not “make noise”

  • avoid bragging

  • keep our dreams inside

  • not expect too much

But what they didn’t tell you is that humility can turn into invisibility -
and invisibility kills creativity.

Believing in your superpowers isn’t arrogance.
It’s alignment.

It’s choosing to step into the version of yourself you were supposed to become.

You’re Telling Yourself Stories That Are No Longer True

Old stories like:

  • “I’m not ready.”

  • “I’m not skilled enough yet.”

  • “No one will care.”

  • “Someone else can do it better.”

  • “I don’t want to fail publicly.”

But here’s the thing:

You’ve evolved.
Your skills have evolved.
Your work has evolved.
Your voice has evolved.

The only thing left to evolve is your self-belief.

That’s usually the last part to catch up.

You Don’t Give Yourself Credit for How Far You’ve Come

Look back six months.
Look back one year.

Are you the same creator / person?
Do you think the same way?
Do you write the same way?
Do you express yourself the same way?
Do you understand yourself the same way?

You’ve grown quietly.
But because the growth wasn’t loud, you didn’t notice it.

People often underestimate themselves because they don’t take time to recognize their personal evolution.

Confidence comes from acknowledging progress.

You already earned it.
Now believe it.

You Are Afraid of Your Own Potential

This one is subtle, but real.

Most creators aren’t afraid of failing -
they’re afraid of succeeding.

Success means:

  • responsibility

  • visibility

  • expectations

  • being known

  • showing up consistently

  • owning your expertise

  • being seen as a leader

That can be intimidating.

But remember:

Growth doesn’t demand perfection - it demands presence.

You don’t need to be flawless to step into your superpowers.
You just need to stop running from them.

Your Superpower Is Already There - You’re Just Not Using It Fully

Your superpower might be:

  • your resilience

  • your voice

  • your empathy

  • your perspective

  • your energy

  • your storytelling

  • your creativity

  • your discipline

  • your humor

  • your way of seeing the world

Every creator has one.
Most creators ignore theirs.

Stop dismissing what comes naturally to you.
That’s usually your superpower in disguise.

So What’s the Next Step? How Do You Actually Start Believing?

Here are simple shifts you can make today:

1. Do the thing before you feel ready

Ready is a myth.
Action creates readiness.

2. Catch your self-doubt in real time

When the voice says “you can’t,”
answer with “But what if I can?”

3. Celebrate tiny wins

Confidence grows from repetition, not miracles.

4. Speak to yourself like you speak to someone you care about

You’d never talk to others the way you talk to yourself.

5. Take pride in trying, not just succeeding

Your effort is proof of your courage.

6. Trust the version of you that showed up today

Not the version from the past.
Not the version that was afraid.
The version typing this.
The version reading this.
The version becoming more.

Belief is not lightning.
It’s a practice.

You build it every time you choose courage over comfort.

If there is one thing I want you to remember today is this:

You don’t need permission to step into your superpowers.
You already have them - you just haven’t given yourself credit.

You’re more capable than you think.
More talented than you admit.
More prepared than you feel.
More powerful than you allow yourself to believe.

Stop trusting your fears more than your possibilities.
Start trusting the version of you who keeps trying -
because that version already knows the truth:

You are meant for more than hesitation.
You are meant to show up.
You are meant to grow.
You are meant to be impactful.

Believe the part of you that’s trying to break through.
That voice is your superpower.
